Right Girls, this is going to be a messy day, so let’s start it how we mean to go on. Head to the shops and grab yourself a bottle of wine… or two!
It’s all in the preparation, make sure you give yourself a few hours to get the task done, you won’t want to abandon it midway. Set the mood by playing some music, I suggest Spotify’s Spring cleaning playlist. Clear some space in your room, on the bed or on the floor, as your going to need it girl.
2. Grab your best Friend
“A friend in need is a friend indeed” Not just there for moral support but to help you drink that wine.
3. Try everything on! You are now going to start by taking stock of your entire wardrobe, yes I mean everything! You are going to pull every single item out and try it on.
Ask yourself the following questions: Does it fit? Does it suit my body-type? Do I feel comfortable in it? Have I worn it in the last 6 months? It’s it damaged? Will it still look good next season?
You must be honest when answering the questions. If the answer to any of these questions is “No”, then you need to seriously think about tossing it or giving it away to your local charity shop.
4. Donate, Sell and swap!
Finally you have an assigned pile of clothes to get rid of, you need to come up with a plan of what you are going to do with them.
There are are many ways to pass these clothes on without being wasteful. Local charity shops are always in need of donations.
Earn a bit of extra cash by selling off of your pre-loved clothes through apps like Depop, or swap clothes with your best friend!
The fun begins!
